About The Author...

Pastor Jim
I was happily married to my high school sweetheart Piper for 43 years (after dating for five years since highschool). Following a long battle with Alzheimer's, she went home to be with the Lord in September of 2018. This blog began as my way to encourage others as I shared her final journey of our faith that we traveled for about 12 years. Now that she is set free and rejoicing in heaven, the blog continues with my personal saga of faith in my new life without her. We have four married children, 4 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 3 grand-dogs, one grand-cat, and our 5 year old blue-merle Australian Shepherd mix named Fiver. We had the the pleasure of working as Assistant Pastors in 5 different churches over the last 35+ years in the areas of Children's, Youth, Singles and Music Ministry and enjoyed just about every moment of it! I am a graduate of Sonoma State University in northern California and Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow OK. I recently moved, purchased a house next to a golf course and now call Broken Arrow, OK home.
